Conversion of historic building is agreed
ONE of the biggest developments in Kingsdon has been given the green light by councillors – despite concerns.
At a recent meeting Kingsdon Parish Council voted to recommend approval of plans to convert the grade two-listed former Kingsdon Manor School into housing.

A COUNTY mayor is the latest politician to find himself in 'Stubbs Gazette' after a €30,000 debt was registered against him.Tom Crosby, mayor of Roscommon County Council, was named after his failure to pay €30,000 arising from a civil case.The independent councillor is now appealing an attachment order to his council income for the outstanding debt.Mr Crosby described such an attachment order against a politician as "unprecedented in Irish law" and said he was appealing the decision Read more [...]

The Block 2012’s ugly duckling challenge house listed with $1.1 million-plus hopes
The ugly duckling challenge house that was destined to be demolished for garaging in the recent series of The Block has been listed for sale with $1.1 million-plus hopes.
Situated at the rear of the block of terraces, the single-storey house was purchased for $1.2 million from its elderly owner by the television series production company before the 2012 series commenced.
Most of the time during shooting the house was home to the crew, cameras and endless amounts of hardware supplies.
