A disused 19th Century house in Nethergate could be turned into a 13-bedroom boutique hotel. Hysteria is back. Terry Johnson’s comedy was written for the Royal Court in 1993, and for its 20th anniversary it is returning to Hampstead Theatre. It is a homecoming in more ways than one. The play is set in the Hampstead home of Sigmund Freud, where he receives unexpected visits from Salvador Dalí and a young woman who cannot keep her clothes on. Work begins on revamp of city bandstand

Glasgow Building Preservation Trust is behind the move to give the venue a £2million new lease of life. Built in 1924, the B-listed Kelvingrove Bandstand hosted live performance and events for 75 years. The refurbishment work will create an open air performance space, equipped with modern facilities and infrastructure.
