Rienbolt sweeps distance events; JV boys take title

ALTAMONT -- Katren Rienbolt took both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs as Fort Scott High School's track and field teams opened their seasons at the Labette County Invitational here Thursday. Both the varsity and junior varsity competed with Fort Scott's JV boys claiming the team title with 162 points and 25 medals. Both of the varsity teams brought a minimal number of contestants. Lakers’ Kobe Bryant listed probable with bone spur

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Kobe Bryant is likely to play for the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings despite a bone spur in his left foot. The Lakers listed Bryant as probable on Friday. The fifth-leading scorer in NBA history left the Bradley Center using a crutch Thursday following Los Angeles' 113-103 loss to Milwaukee.
