Police: Accused thief arrested after listing stolen kayaks for sale on Facebook

A Chester County man accused of stealing two kayaks from a woman’s backyard this weekend was arrested on Sunday while attempting to sell the stolen property back to the owner, according to police records. The woman arranged to meet the accused thief to buy the two kayaks – and lead police to him – after her son found the stolen kayaks listed for sale on Facebook, an incident report states. Liverpool’s Green party is backing activists occupying Liverpool’s former Bank of England building – and said their demands must be heard. The Love Activists have been in the Castle Street building for more than two weeks and continue to defy a court order to leave. Yesterday Merseyside police officers tried to strike a deal not to press charges against the anti-austerity protesters if they left, despite the breach of the possession order and reports of damage being caused to the listed building. Las Vegas is one of the fastest-growing food-and-drink event cities in the country, according to ticketing and events website Eventbrite. The company’s internal study analyzed more than 40,000 food- and drink-focused events listed on the website in 2014 to pull out current trends, culinary capitals and destinations showing the most FB growth.
