Postwar office buildings have taken a lot of stick over the years (mostly by the people who've looked at or had to work in them), but it seems they have friends in high places. Property sales across the UK rose by 14% in 2014

‘Hanging Gardens of Basingstoke’ given Grade II listing

THE ‘Hanging Gardens of Basingstoke’ have given a Grade II listing alongside 13 of the finest post-war office buildings in England. Mountbatten House, in Basing View, and its roof gardens - which were designed by Arup and Associates - have both been listed, with the gardens given grade II status on the register of historic parks and gardens.
