The Cross Keys at Kinnerley has been a drinking establishment for hundreds of years, but was forced to close last month after a fire caused smoke damage.The owner, a developer from the Midlands, had applied for planning permission to build four houses on the car park and garden, which was rejected in May. Third of listed UK oil and gas drillers face bankruptcy

Ewan Mitchell, head of analytics at Company Watch, said: “Many of the smaller quoted oil and gas companies were set up specifically to take advantage of historically high and rising commodity prices.
