England’s oldest pub is up for sale

England's oldest public house, Ye Olde Fighting Cocks in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is up for sale. The pub, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records, is an 11th-century structure set on an 8th-century site. It was originally located close to St Albans Cathedral and was moved to the present site on Abbey Mill Lane after the dissolution of the Abbey in 1539.
