Number of Auckland houses for sale hits 20-year low

The number of houses listed for sale in Auckland dropped to its lowest number in 20 years at the end of December, the city's biggest real estate agency says. Barfoot Thompson has released its figures for the month, saying the 796 sales in December was 19.3 percent lower than sales in November and the lowest in any month for the past 22 months.
