FUNDRAISING efforts are underway for St Stephen's the Martyr Church in Launceston after it was placed on the "heritage at risk" register.The Anglican church on Roydon Road, Launceston, is a Grade 1 listed building and plans have been made to fix the leaking roof as well as build better toilet and kitchen facilities.An estimate of £750,000 was made for the work and fundraising has now started.Reverend Jane Everitt, the rector of Launceston Parish, Read more [...]

The iconic Los Angeles mansion of Hugh Hefner, the founder of the Playboy empire, is being put up for sale for $200 million, Playboy Enterprises said, one of the highest asking prices for a private residence in the United States.
As a condition of the sale, magazine founder Hefner would get to continue living there as he has since the company bought the mansion 45 years ago for just over $1 million, company spokesman John Vlautin said.
