Southend war memorial has listed building status upgraded

SOUTHEND’S war memorial’s status has been upgraded after it was discovered the monument was designed by a famous architect. The memorial in Clifftown Parade was previously listed as Grade II, but has now been given the II* classification. New jobs on way as opening date announced for Oswestry’s second Aldi store

The store in Shrewsbury Road will open its doors to the public on December 10.It will become the town’s second Aldi store, operating alongside the existing shop in Oswald Road, which bosses say is operating at full capacity. Old fountain could be listed by the DoE

The Department of the Environment is to carry out a survey of the old water fountain at Captain Street in Coleraine.
