A LANDLORD says it is an "honour" after his pub was chosen to become a listed building. Nursing home to return at Cockenzie House

A 60-bedroom care home could now be built on the eastern side of the site on Edinburgh Road, Cockenzie, although calls have been made for Scottish Ministers to look at the decision again. An official bid for Liverpool city centre pub the Roscoe Head to be listed as an asset of community value has now been submitted. Campaigners fear for the long-term future of the pub, which is set to get new owners as part of a huge deal between Punch Taverns and property firm NewRiver. A planning application for 40 homes at land north of Birchen Lane, Haywards Heath, has been made. Crest Nicholson has revised the application, which has previously been submitted to Mid Sussex District Council and which is the subject of an appeal.
