Grade II Listed Colton House wins duo award

A Georgian house that played host to royalty and heads of state was given a new lease of life 10 years ago as a bed and breakfast and today is celebrating its milestone anniversary with the news it’s won a national accolade. AIM-listed advice firm accepts £258m takeover bid

National advice firm Jelf Group has agreed to be taken over by insurance broker Marsh that has valued the company at around £258 million. Under the terms of the acquisition, which is subject to Financial Conduct Authority approval, Marsh will acquire the entire share capital of Jelf and give each Jelf shareholder 215 pence per share, which values the company at around £258 million. Leading coloured gemstone producer Gemfields is expanding its emerald business to Latin America.
