A conservation group has accused the artist Tracey Emin of seeking to demolish a valuable part of east London’s architectural heritage to satisfy her “private working patterns”. Emin has applied to knock down a listed building in Spitalfields and replace it with a five-floor purpose-built studio and home. Listed buildings to benefit from £500000 funding

A Waringstown church is one of six listed buildings in Northern Ireland which will benefit from DOE funding. Environment Minister Mark Durkan announced last week that funding would support the conservation of a variety of buildings, one of which being the Church of the Holy Undivided Trinity in Waringstown.The funding, taken from the carrier bag levy receipts, will be used to restore the church for its continued ecclesiastical use. Historic buildings holiday charity on brink of liquidation
