Median asking price of for-sale businesses in Sacramento area is $217000 – Merced Sun

The median asking price of small- and medium-size businesses for sale in the Sacramento area during this year’s second quarter was $217,000, according to San Francisco-based BizBuySell.com. That was down from $225,000 in this year’s opening quarter but up from the median of $209,000 reported in the second quarter of 2013. Firefighters called to listed building

Firefighters were called to Elmfield Hall in Church after plastic covering a light set on fire.

The Grade-II listed building off Riding Barn Street is currently undergoing renovation and crews from Hyndburn were called at around 11am on Thursday, July 24.

A fire service spokesperson said: “There was a fire to a lighting unit. It had been covered with a plastic sheet and when the light was turned on the heat made it catch fire.”

No injuries were reported.
