Blaze kills at least 12 near Chile UNESCO site

The country’s Congress, which resides in Valparaiso, and the city’s historic quarter, with its late 19th century architecture, were spared by the blaze. Blaze in historic Chile city kills at least 11, destroys 500 homes

SANTIAGO – At least eleven people have died in a huge fire in Chile’s port city of Valparaiso famous for its UNESCO-listed historic center, officials said Sunday.
