Victim of Kenmore Avenue collision listed in stable condition

The Buffalo man who was hit by a car that also killed a woman on Kenmore Avenue Thursday was listed in stable condition Friday in Erie County Medical Center. Kevin Nowak, 55, and Sandra Garner, 52, also of Buffalo, were crossing the street when they were struck by a 2013 Toyota Corolla turning left from the section of the Budwey’s supermarket parking lot controlled by a traffic light. Series of abandoned homes along Platt Road in Ann Arbor could soon be … – The Ann Arbor News

The city of Ann Arbor is targeting a series of houses for demolition that sit along Platt Road just north of Interstate 94. The three structures have sat abandoned since around 2007 and are on approximately 8 acres of land. Hearings for the houses will be held by the Building Board of Appeals at its Thursday, Dec.12 meeting. The board could order them demolished within 30 days.
