47 companies listed on local stock exchange comply with Islamic law

MANILA—Forty-seven companies listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange have been determined to comply with the Islamic Shariah legal system under a new screening process adopted by the PSE in an effort to attract Muslim investors. UK House Prices Could Soar Up To 8% Without Fresh Supply

The recovery in the UK housing market has continued to gain momentum in December and home prices are expected to skyrocket in 2014 unless more properties come into the market, according to a survey. PANAMA CITY BEACH — As many as 15 houses bit the dust in the county this year — not by fire or act of God, but because they fell into disrepair and the county had them razed. Wanda Commercial Properties (Group), a Hong Kong-listed real estate investment company controlled by China’s richest man Wang Jianlin, said today it plans to raise $318 million in a stock sale from existing shareholders.
