Listed status for Liverpool’s iconic India Buildings

India Buildings, which includes Liverpool’s last and greatest shopping arcade, has been upgraded by English Heritage to Grade II* listing after fears it would be altered. The Twentieth Century Society submitted India Buildings, Water Street, for upgrading from Grade II status to protect its many original and high quality features. Bid to have land listed as a community asset rejected

Campaigners who want to protect land at a golf course have failed in their bid to get it listed. Ingol and Tanterton Neighbourhood Council put in a Community Right to Bid application to have land at Ingol Golf Course recognised as an Asset of Community Value. Home prices flatten across capital region as investors depart
