Earthquakes Hit Area of Northwestern China

The seismological bureau estimated the magnitude of the main earthquake at 6.6. The United States Geological Survey listed three fairly strong earthquakes in Gansu Province on Monday morning, with magnitudes of 5.9, 5.6 and 4.7. CLEARANCE has been given for a listed building in Curry Rivel to undergo renovations including demolishing a second floor extension and works to a damaged coach house. Wilton House, a detached home on the edge of the village, dates from the 19th century but was extended in the 1950s.
