ETFs listed on LSE knock NYSE off its perch

Data from the World Federation of Exchanges reveal that, in January alone, the number of sterling-denominated equity ETFs listed on the London Stock Exchange stood at 1899, compared with 1367 on the NYSE Euronext exchange. While the total number of all ETFs, in all currency denominations, and volume of trades still prove the US has the lion’s share of the market, the UK is already the European leader in terms of the number of listings so far this year. Slocum House has new tenant

The city of Vancouver, which has been seeking a new tenant for the Slocum House in Esther Short Park since last year, has found one: The Vancouver City Council approved a lease agreement Monday with East Fork Cellars. Jeffrey Waddell, who started the Ridgefield winery in 2008 with his wife Stacey, said they are planning a grand opening for the first week of July.
