Online scam turns car sale ‘sour’

An Otaki man is far more aware of scammers after an experience selling his car online turned sour. Fraud Awareness Week kicked off yesterday. Report: UFC expected to announce Calgary event

The octagon is returning to Canada. UFC president Dana White and UFC director of Canadian operations Tom Wright are expected to announce the UFC's Alberta debut at a news conference on Wednesday, according to several reports. The event will be held in Calgary and will likely take place on July 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. A UFC media guide already listed the event as UFC 149 pay-per-view in Calgary. Listed buildings being damaged by criminal behaviour

According to research, thousands of the UK's listed buildings are being damaged by criminal behaviour, with metal theft the most common crime [19 March 2012]. The research, conducted by Loughborough University, Newcastle University and the Council for British Archaeology, showed that up to 70,000 sites may have been affected by crime in 2011. Council set to sell historic Backford Hall to developers

A GRADE II listed council-owned hall in a Chester is set to be sold off to developers. Cheshire West and Chester Executive has agreed to sell the historic Backford Hall to the Cheshire-based Jones Homes. But the sale of the historic former council offices will be conditional on the approval of a planning application by the authority’s planning committee.
