Utah trio facing new charges in alleged home-buying scam

A Highland couple has been indicted on more charges in an alleged real estate fraud scheme that involved using straw buyers and inflated appraisals to obtain loans in excess of what the houses were actually selling for. Two mining companies listed on London’s leading shares index have entered talks over a merger which would create a firm worth more than £51bn.FTSE 100-listed commodities trader Glencore is keen to join up with Anglo-Swiss company Xstrata. Bulgaria's cosmetics factory "Alen Mak," functioning since the times of the Socialist regime, will be listed for sale in just days. The news was reported Thursday by the factory's syndic, attorney Stefan Georgiev, cited by Darik Radio. House prices are expected to fall

HOUSE prices in the Midlands have failed to increase for a year-and-a-half – and are expected to fall. Property analyst Hometrack's study found that house prices remained flat in January, following a 0.2 per cent decrease in December and November. Meanwhile, 10.5 per cent fewer new buyers registered with agents compared with December, 5.4 per cent fewer properties were listed and 14.3 per cent fewer sales were agreed.
