Centamin Egypt to acquire PLUS-listed Sheba for £7.48 million

8:02 am by Ian Lyall Centamin Egypt (LON:CEY) said this morning it is buying PLUS-listed Sheba Exploration (LON:SHBA) for £7.48 million in cash and shares. The deal, which values Sheba shares at 6.15 pence each, has been endorsed by the directors and has the backing of investors holding around 36 per cent of the stock. Many companies are being listed for sale through brokers with high price tags based on very tenuous valuations, where the owners have been deceived into thinking they will be paid a huge amount for their equity, report K2 Business Rescue.
