Southwest Georgia Ethanol LLC, the owner of a 100-million gallon-a-year ethanol plant in Mitchell County, Georgia, filed a Chapter 11 petition on Feb. 1 in Albany, Georgia. In its petition, the company listed assets of $164.7 million and debt of $134.1 million. Southwest Georgia Ethanol, or SGE, had revenue of $168.9 million for the fiscal year ended in September.
