10/02/2011 7:40:00 A bid of over $1 million has been registered on Trade Me for a vial of sand alleged to be from the famous Pink and White Terraces. Sand alleged to be from the fabled Pink and White Terraces was sold on Trade Me. The auction website is treating it as a joke, but it's sparked a Te Arawa kaumatua to warn people not to exploit tribal history. MRC Allied sets share sale, eyes IPO for unit

These will be convertible into shares in new mining vehicle MRC Tampakan, Inc., which might be listed on the local bourse as early as before yearend, executives said yesterday. “The initial public offering (IPO) may happen eventually in the two phases of financing,� MRC Allied President Benjamin M.
