Driver hits utility pole, listed in serious condition

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP (FOX19) – A single car accident that happened in front of Moeller High School this morning left one man seriously injured.

Police say the driver, 79-year-old Donald Hunter, had some sort of medical emergency, traveled across both southbound lanes of U.S. 22 and hit a utility pole head on. He was transported to the Bethesda North Hospital and is listed in serious condition.

Police are still investigating this accident.

Man Phoenix police say shot by dad listed critical

A man who allegedly shot his son Friday has been arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault, police said. Joseph Valenta, 79, originally called police to report an intruder at about 5 p.m. Friday, said Phoenix police spokesman Steve Martos. When police arrived at his home, in the area of 39th Avenue and El Caminito Drive, they discovered that Valenta's 53-year-old son had been shot. UPDATE SATURDAY 4:50 p.m. EST: Heat fans, you can exhale. An MRI came back negative for Wade’s elbow, and he’s listed as day-to-day. Coronado’s Delawie House Still on Life Support

The State Historical Resources Commission (SHRC) voted 6-1 on Friday morning to recommend that the house at 1010 Glorietta Blvd. be designated as eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places at its meeting in Santa Rosa.
