Vimpelcom US-listed shares open 3 percent lower

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Shares in Russia's Vimpelcom (VIP.N) opened more than 3 percent lower on its first trading day since approving a $6 billion bid for Wind Telecom in spite of opposition from 40 percent shareholder Telenor (TEL.OL).
Analysts have said the terms of the deal are unfavorable to the mobile phone company's minority shareholders, who will vote on the deal on March 17.The shares were down 4.4 percent at $14.6 at Read more [...]
