Is your group or organization hosting a public event? If so, you can list it free of charge in the Community Calendar that's located weekly on Page 2 of the printed edition of the Galva News. Each week, the Community Calendar lists events scheduled over a two-week period in the Galva, AlWood and ROWVA areas. It does not include club events that aren't open to the public. 5-legged calf re-auctioned

The calf has been re-listed on auction website Trade Me after the winner of the last auction withdrew their bid.Jonathan King listed the 2-month-old calf on Trade Me before Christmas in an effort to find the animal a good home and raise some beer money.The calf, which has an extra leg growing from its shoulder, sold for $305 but Mr King received a message from the bidder's partner withdrawing the bid."I was a bit brassed off. "Seamists" holds special memories for many members of the Lynch, Hyland and Stormon families and their descendants. Many family gatherings were celebrated at the cottage in the 1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's and often resulted in sing-a-longs around the piano, which is still in the lounge room.Australian author Robert G.
