A TELEVISION presenter has had to reduce the price of his historic Sussex home.
Jamie Theakston put his Grade I listed Tudor manor, Wings Place, in Ditchling, on the market for £2 million but has now been forced to drop the cost to £1.85 million, according to a national newspaper.
The manor house was given to Anne of Cleves as part of her divorce settlement from Henry VIII and was used by Thomas Cromwell.
Mr Theakston, 44, grew up in the village and bought the 5,000 sq ft, five-bedroom house for £800,000 in 2001 as “a boyhood dream thing”.
The presenter said he put the house on the market to spend more time in London.
