Brett Favre’s name has appeared frequently on the NFL’s weekly injury report over 20 seasons of sprains, strains and painful hits.

This might be the last time: The Minnesota Vikings declared the 41-year-old doubtful to play at Detroit, due to the lingering effects of a concussion.

Interim coach Leslie Frazier declined to address whether Favre has passed the post-concussion testing required by the league to return to action.

Favre suffered the head injury against Chicago on Dec. 20 and missed the last game at Philadelphia because of it, the second time in three weeks he sat out after his all-time record consecutive starts streak ended.

Bengals: Receiver Chad Ochocinco will miss the Bengals’ final game in Baltimore with a bad left ankle that needs surgery.

Cowboys: Jon Kitna is listed as questionable for the Dallas Cowboys’ season finale.

He did not practice Friday, increasing the odds that QB Stephen McGee will make the first start of his NFL career Sunday in Philadelphia.

Also, the Cowboys signed veteran kicker Kris Brown.

Dolphins: Miami placed linebacker Karlos Dansby on injured reserve and ruled out tight end Anthony Fasano and tackle Lydon Murtha for its game at New England.

Lions: Detroit put linebacker Landon Johnson on IR with a concussion that ended his season with one game to play.

Raiders: Oakland coach Tom Cable says running back Darren McFadden (sore toe) and defensive tackle Richard Seymour (hamstring) are questionable for Oakland’s season finale at Kansas City.

Rams: A tornado warning siren alerted the St. Louis Rams to bad weather, sending them indoors to finish practice Friday at Rams Park.

Saints: Pierre Thomas appeared to hurt his left ankle at practice and the New Orleans running back was listed as questionable for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Seahawks: Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck (strained hip) was limited in practice Friday in his first work this week, leaving open the possibility he could play Sunday night against St. Louis that will decide the NFC West winner.

Steelers: Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu practiced for the first time in three weeks.
