A man is in critical condition in hospital and a woman is facing charges after a New Years Eve stabbing in Bridgewater.
Deputy Chief John Collyer said police were called to a home on Ron Street around 1 a.m.
A 24-year-old man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed twice, once in the head and once in the neck. He underwent surgery and remained in critical condition at the QEII on January 1.
Officers arrested a 20-year-old woman at the scene. She has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon and was released on conditions to appear in Bridgewater provincial court on January 12.
Police say the altercation was a domestic dispute. They did not release any names.
