A listed town house in Fishergate Hill is to be converted into flats.

Former offices at Number 10 have seen plans tabled to become four flats within the conservation area.

Plans from NW Lettings, based in West Cliff, would not affect the exterior of the building.

In their planning statement they write: “The principle of the proposal is to retain the historic character of the existing building, whilst making the necessary internal alterations to accommodate the conversion.

“The locality consists of mixed commercial and residential uses and the proposed use is ideally placed close to the city centre, university campus and local and national transport network, furthermore, a residential use fits in with the history of the property and the locality given the established residential accommodation within the area.”

The full plans can be viewed on the city council website.
