This September, Manchester’s glitterati were invited to the grand unveiling of Hallé St. Peter’s, the city’s impressive new events space.

One of the first brick built churches in the UK, Hallé St. Peter’s is a Grade II listed building featuring a host of attractive architectural features. Seeing the building’s raw potential, Concerto Group have acquired the building, which will provide the perfect setting for weddings and corporate events.

To celebrate the acquisition and transformation of this architectural gem, Manchester’s business leaders and key influencers were invited to a night of indulgence at Hallé St. Peter’s, where they were served champagne and canapés and were entertained by Afrika Fuentes. Springbank Flowers (one of the UK’s leading florists) provided beautiful blooms to dress the space and guests savoured the experience of being among the first to see the stunning events space in all its glory.

The Concerto Group is one of the UK’s leading event services companies with seven offices and over 120 full-time staff.

Concerto Group Chairman, Mike Kershaw, said: “Hallé St. Peter’s is an elegant Manchester event space which we’re sure our clients will love. This venue creates the perfect backdrop for a wide range of occasions; we’re looking forward to hosting some very special events here!”

For the venue’s grand unveiling as an unrivalled events space, VIP guests were dazzled by the stunning lighting scheme, which showcased the stunning architecture perfectly, the clever design touches, which added a sense of opulence to the location, and the beautiful floral displays throughout the former church.

Joanne Penney, Business Development Manager at Concerto Group, commented: “Clients turn to us for event management, venues, catering and event services and we’re very proud to be able to offer them access to the most desirable spaces in the UK in which to host special events.

“Situated in the heart of Manchester, in the resurgent area of Ancoats, Hallé St. Peter’s is a venue to impress. Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, this deconsecrated church has been transformed into an elegant, flexible space for entertaining.”

Martin Glynn, Hallé St. Peter’s Projects and Events Manager, added: “We’re really excited about the upcoming series of events at this venue. With its high ceilings and unique original features, Hallé St. Peter’s is an unbeatable setting for parties, corporate events, meetings, receptions and much more. The building, which can accommodate up to 230 guests, is a jewel in Manchester’s crown and it’s fantastic to see Concerto Group investing heavily to restore it to its former glory.”

Hallé St. Peter’s is focussed on supporting the local community, through Hallé’s award-winning Education Programme. All events booked at the venue support the programme, which exists to create a wider enjoyment and understanding of music in all sectors of the community, especially those who do not traditionally come to the concert hall, by providing a range of unique opportunities to participate in music and other creative art forms.
