Pie and mash shop described as ‘unique part’ of history listed as Grade II …

Roger Bowdler, designation director for English Heritage, added: “This 1920s example, with it beautifully preserved interior, is among the best of an increasingly rare kind, and strongly deserves to be listed.”

While Heritage Minister Ed Vaizey said the eatery is a unique part of London’s history.

The Conservative MP said the shop was as relevant and popular now as it was when it first opened in the 1920s.
