The Co-operative Group has become the first retailer to list Cheddar for Heroes – the Wyke Farms cheese that raises funds for the Help for Heroes charity.
Packs of Mature Cheddar for Heroes started going into 3,000 The Co-op stores this week, priced at £3 for a 300g pack. For each pack sold, at least 7p go to the armed forces charity.
Wyke launched the Cheddar earlier this year, along with Butter for Heroes, which has yet to find any listings.
