Here is everything you need to know about the week ahead:
- Midweek rain? Possibly. The National Weather Service is calling for a pretty good weather week ahead. Expect sunny skies on Monday with highs in the mid-70s. Overnight lows will drop down into the 40s. Tuesday could reach 80. But Wednesday and Thursday brings a chance of showers with temps in the high 60s. The sun returns on Friday, with temps in the 70s and rain is possible this weekend.
- Are you out of work? There’s help. An unemployment support group meets at 8 a.m. at EJ’s on Main Restaurant at the Holiday Inn on North Main Street. And be looking for the latest job openings post on Monday afternoon.
- Book club reads Harbach. The Gibson’s Bookstore book group is reading from “The Art of Fielding,” by Chad Harbach, at 7 p.m. on Monday.
- Passion for Caring. This annual event will be held at Company C at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tickets are $50 and all proceeds, including the auction items, will benefit the Concord Regional VNA.
- Meet Katherine Hall Page. Author Katherine Hall Page will be at Gibson’s at 3 p.m. on Thursday talking about “The Body in the Piazza,” her new novel.
- Nonprofit board training. The New Hampshire Department of Justice Charitable Trust Unit hosts a free training for volunteers at 6 p.m. on Thursday and McAuliffe Elementary School.
- Open house. All Elements Healing Revolution hosts a free open house at 10 a.m. on Friday. Food, treats, massage, and other services are available.
- Is there a ghost in my house? Find out how to find them at The Office Suite at 6 p.m. on Friday as the TAG Team Paranormal Society offers its Ghost Hunting 101 class. Tickets are $20.
- Peaceful voices. The Concord Chorale presents its May concert, “The Peace of Wild Things,” at 8 p.m. on Friday, at the Unitarian Universalist Church (as well as weekend dates too). Tickets are $15-$20.
