Khione gained a first Listed success in the Betfred The Bonus King E.B.F. Daisy Warwick Stakes at Goodwood.

Sent off at 4/1 for her seasonal reappearance, Luca Cumani’s filly only needed to be kept up to her work to score a smooth one and three quarter length from Jehannedarc under Kieren Fallon.

Coquet briefly threatened on the outside as the front-running Bite Of The Cherry gave way with Souviens Toi and market leader Reckoning others to promise more than than they ultimately delivered.

Fallon took the race by the scruff of the neck, however, and the stoutly bred daughter of Dalakhani soon put distance between herself and the chasing pack and only needed to be ridden out to maintain the advantage.

This was a third career success from just seven starts following victories in a maiden and a handicap on her first two starts of 2012.
