9 Parchment Street: no to home plan
WINCHESTER planning officers have rejected a plan to convert a listed building into a home.
The Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society applied for the conversion of 9 Parchment Street from offices.
City council officials used delegated powers to reject the application for the mainly 18th century grade II listed building.
The Pevsner guide to Hampshire describes it as a “fine Queen Anne house..an impressive merchant’s house.”
