Events listed for Ethics Week 2013

SOUTH BEND — In the wake of the 2012 elections, “Ethics Week 2013” at the University of Notre Dame will take on a topic that’s not often thought of as a usual fit with ethics: politics.

“Governing for the Greater Good: Politics as Public Service” will take place Monday through Feb. 7 at the Mendoza College of Business. Each session will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Giovanini Commons, located in Mendoza College’s lower level. Events are free and open to the public.

Here is the schedule of speakers:

Monday: John Sturm, associate vice president of Federal and Washington Relations at Notre Dame

Tuesday: South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg

Wednesday: A panel discussion featuring Indiana Senator Joe Zakas; Andy Kostielney, St. Joseph County Commissioner; and Jamie O’Brien, St. Joseph County Councilman

Feb. 7: Jack Colwell, South Bend Tribune political columnist
