Houston Rockets: Carlos Delfino listed as Day-to-Day

Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

Houston Rockets swingman Carlos Delfino is suffering from flu-like symptoms and is officially listed as day-to-day. The 8 year veteran is averaging 8.7 points off the bench this season, while shooting 34% from behind the three-point line.

Delfino missed last nights game, a 122-116 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. No word has been released for Delfino’s status tonight vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder.  Daequan Cook received some playing time last night in Delfino’s absence, playing 12 minutes and chipping in 3 points.

A former 1st-round pick of the Detroit Pistons in 2003, Delfino signed with the Rockets this past offseason after spending the last three years with the Milwaukee Bucks. At 30 years old, Delfino is the oldest player for the youngest team in the NBA.

Look for either Cook to receive more playing time, or Marcus Morris to play some minutes at the back-up small forward position in Delfino’s absence.
