Google Nexus 7 32GB Appears in Argos catalogue for £200

Earlier today we reported that the 32GB version of Google’s flagship Android tablet, the Nexus 7, was listed on Staples’ website with a release date of October 18th, but no sooner had this information been posted had the UK also gotten confirmation of the device’s impending launch, this time from retail giant Argos.

Yes, the new 32GB version of the Nexus 7 has been seen and snapped in the newest Christmas version of the Argos catalogue and the device is priced at a cool £200, which is the same price as the existing 16GB version of the tablet.

We are hoping that the new 32GB Nexus 7 with its pricing will lower down the price of the existing 16GB and 8GB models too, and we would take a guess at £160 and £140 being possible price drops.

****ORIGINAL ARTICLE****

Last week a reported Google Nexus 7 32GB version was reportedly shipped to a shocked customer in Japan, but since this error the information on a larger Nexus 7 has been limited.

Today however, an online retailer in the US has “accidentally” listed the fabled 32GB Google Nexus 7 on its website and to add the cherry to the cake they have put a release date of October 18th with it. So this could mean that Google will announce and start shipping the new tablet as soon as tomorrow!

The only difference the Nexus 7 will see is the increase in memory size, but with the original 16GB version selling out within a day of release the 32GB version is sure to be a big hit with Android tablet fans.

The stocking website in question is Staples Advantage who are a business-to-business division of Staples Inc. so their credibility is very good as they will be a major re-seller of the Nexus 32GB when it goes live.

The site also has the Google Nexus 7 32GB pricing information listed down, stating that the 32 GB will go on sale for $248.27 (around £150), which would bring the device in cheaper than the original Nexus 16GB in the US.

The actual tablet is manufactured by ASUS and is a joint venture between Google and ASUS, and will be the flagship tablet device for Google’s Android OS. Its currently has the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS installed and will continually be the first tablet to get updated with the latest Android OS as they come out.

We can’t quite see the device being released for shipping tomorrow but with the next few weeks being filled with tablet news and releases its would seem right for Google to announce a newer version of the Nexus 7 to keep up with the proverbial Benjamins.

Apple is looking to announce its new iPad Mini tablet device on the 23rd of October alongside a new MacBook Pro with Retina display and a new range of Apple Mac Mini, plus Microsoft will be releasing its long-awaited Windows 8 OS for tablets and computers on October 29th which will see a big range of new tablets from all the big manufacturers hit the market.

Hopefully Google will announce the 32GB Nexus 7 in the next few days to put our minds at ease.
