Events to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and to celebrate Black History Month are planned in the days and weeks ahead.

Living the Dream, Paying It Forward Black History Month Exhibit: A display recognizing local leaders. Martin Luther King Celebration: Bridging the Gap Between Community and Service: Keynote speaker is Adrian Smalls, instructor in MCC’s Law and Criminal Justice Department at Damon City Campus. There also will be performances by community groups. Sponsored by the Monroe Community College Diversity Council. Noon to 1 p.m. Warshof Conference Center, R.
