• CLEAR LAKE — The Surf Ballroom will be open for tours and
ticket sales from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• CLEAR LAKE — The High and Mighty Band will play for the annual
New Year’s Eve Party at the Surf Ballroom. Tickets are $20 at the
door. Doors open at 8 p.m. Must be 21. There will be a balloon
drop, prizes, party favors and champagne at midnight.

• MASON CITY — The North Iowa Youth Center, 138 Fifth St. S.W.,
will host a New Year’s Eve Bash for ages 5-15 from 9 p.m. to 12:30

• MASON CITY — “The Hats” will play for the Decker House New
Year’s Eve celebration from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with hors
d’oeuvres, desserts and champagne. Cost is $25. The Decker House is

• MASON CITY — “Amahl and the Night Visitors” will be presented
at 7 p.m. by the Mason City Community Theatre. This is a play in
one act; arrive early for refreshments before the show. Tickets are

• MASON CITY — New Year’s Eve party featuring The Felt reunion
will be at Lorado’s on the Plaza, 18 S. Federal Ave.

• MASON CITY — Jesse Wunderlich will play 6 to 9:30 p.m. for a
