Political briefs for the Grand Strand

• The West Side Democrats Club is holdings its annual barbeque, featuring the famous “William and Jim” barbeque, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 1 at Coppers Restaurant, 201 Laurel St., Conway.

Tickets are $10 and people can choose to eat in or take out their food. The event is being held the same day as Conway’s Fall Fest, at which there will be live music and activities.

• The Horry County Executive Committee meets at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Jury Room of the Horry County Justice Center on Second Avenue in Conway.
