• The West Side Democrats Club is holdings its annual barbeque, featuring the famous “William and Jim” barbeque, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 1 at Coppers Restaurant, 201 Laurel St., Conway.

Tickets are $10 and people can choose to eat in or take out their food. The event is being held the same day as Conway’s Fall Fest, at which there will be live music and activities.

• The Horry County Executive Committee meets at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Jury Room of the Horry County Justice Center on Second Avenue in Conway.

Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. All Executive Committee members and alternates are urged to attend. Everyone is welcome.

• State Sen. Ray Cleary and State Rep. Kevin Ryan are the featured speakers at the Waccamaw Neck Republican Club meeting, 7 p.m. Monday at the Pawleys Island Library, 24 Commerce Drive.

• The new Conway Area GOP Club is holding a kickoff event at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at 428 Kingston St., Conway.

People are asked to remember the dress code and wear political buttons, shirts, hats or other items from past campaigns.

There will be prizes for the items in a variety of categories. There will be food and activities for all ages.
