Job Fair For Budweiser Events Center and Ovations Food Services

The job fair will take place in the Executive Club Restaurant at Budweiser Events Center on Wednesday, August 31 from 3 – 7 p.m. All jobs are for either part-time, seasonal or event based hours. Listed below are a few of the employment opportunities and qualifications.

 

BEC Parking Staff:

The Parking Staff is responsible to staff posts that may vary from event to event. These posts include cone setter/striker, ticket seller, directional staff, Gate A Cut-Off, Gate E Cut-Off, ADA Lot, Gated Lot and Premium Lot.

BEC Housekeeping Staff:

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible to perform cleaning and custodial duties, keep the facility presentable and sanitary, operate and maintain all cleaning devices.

BEC Operations Event Staff:

The Parking Staff is responsible for conducting scheduled preventative maintenance checks on equipment, assembly and break down of function rooms, light cleaning and custodial duties assigned as necessary. Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently and work evenings, nights and weekends.

 Ovations Kitchen Cook:

The Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the buildings at The Ranch Events Complex. The Kitchen Cook will provide high quality, fresh food products in a timely manner, prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements, and maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas.

*Requirements: Must have experience in a fine dining or high volume, fast paced kitchen setting

 Ovations Prep Cook:

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the buildings at The Ranch Events Complex. Responsible for washing, peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables, mixing ingredients for green salads, fruit salads, vegetable salads and pasta salads, and cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware. Must maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas.

*Requirements: Must have experience in a fast paced kitchen in a Prep Cook capacity

 Ovations Catering Server:

The Catering Server is responsible in assisting the food and beverage service, guest attention, and overall logistics of banquet events. Responsible for plated meals and buffets by way of set-up, clear communication and teamwork with other co-workers, all while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence, resulting in the overall success of banquet events. Must be personable and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. Must maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas.

*Requirements: Fine dining and/or banquet experience preferred

 Ovations Suite Server:

The Suite Server is responsible for serving guests in the Suites. Must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment. Responsible for serving meals, serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverage, recording a guest’s order, accept payments and provide change as necessary, cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after the guests have left. Must maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas.

*Requirements: Fine dining and/or banquet experience preferred

 Ovations Suite Event Clerk:

The Suite Event Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all paperwork and orders are processed accurately and promptly. Distributes change funds to the Suite Servers, assists in balancing the funds at the conclusion of the event, and calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as related to cash/credit transactions and cash reconciliation. The Suite Event Clerk is also responsible for receiving the Suite orders from the servers, inputting them into the computer, and relaying the orders to the kitchen staff. Must maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas.

*Requirements: Experience working in an administrative support function in the food and beverage industry. Computer skills are a must.

 Ovations Restaurant Server:

Restaurant Server is responsible for serving guests in the Executive Club Restaurant in the Budweiser Events Center. Responsible for serving meals to guests or directing guests to the buffet line and serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Checking guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages, recording a guest’s order and relaying the order to the kitchen via P.O.S. system, accept payments and provide change as necessary, setting up banquet functions including linens, dishware, glassware and silverware, refilling salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments and napkins, and maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.

*Requirements: Fine dining and/or banquet experience preferred

 Ovations Restaurant Supervisor:

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in the Executive Club Restaurant at Budweiser Events Center. Must be personable and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment, ensure the bar is ready for service (adequate supplies of glassware, drinks, bottles, fruit and garnishes, etc), support the Executive Chef in maintaining a harmonious environment between the kitchen and the restaurant staff, recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals, and hold regular On-the-Job training sessions to ensure that staff can perform their duties correctly. Also responsible to maintain a high degree of interest in self-development by displaying this by making suggestions for realistic improvements, promoting the restaurant and functions to potential clients, and be able to close out the events via POS system and the accompanying reports.

The Ranch, Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex, located in Loveland, Colorado, opened in 2003 and is owned and operated by Larimer County. The Ranch consists of the Budweiser Events Center, the Ranch-Way Feeds Indoor Arena and Livestock Pavilions, the First National Bank Exhibition Halls, and the Thomas M.
