THEFT

Over a span of three months, an employee stole $145 worth of horse gear from a business in the 1600 block of Clydesdale Avenue.

An air-conditioning unit was stolen from a house in the 900 block of Lantern Tree Lane.

A purse, which contained $200 cash, was stolen from the 14400 block of Pierson Road.

DRUNKEN DRIVER

A man saw a Toyota pickup almost hit a car on Florida’s Turnpike at Lake Worth Road. The man followed the truck until a deputy arrived. The deputy observed the driver swerving in and out lanes and stopped him at Lake Worth Road and 120th Avenue. The deputy smelled alcohol on the man’s breath. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A house was burglarized in the 1000 block of Staghorn Street. A laptop computer and $600 worth of jewelry were stolen.

Ten pieces of jewelry, valued at $1,500, were stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Wood Dale Drive.

SHOPLIFTING

A woman was arrested and charged with retail theft at a store in the 10300 block of Forest Hill Boulevard after she was seen hiding a pair of men’s jeans and children’s clothing in her purse.

VANDALISM

A mailbox was set on fire in the 13800 block of Sheffield Street.

A street sign was damaged by a vehicle in the 11100 block of Polo Club Road.

VEHICULAR BURGLARY

A woman stepped outside her home in the 2200 block of Sloane Place and saw a burglar in her car. The burglar fled with $80.

SHOPLIFTING

A former employee at a store in the 11000 block of Southern Boulevard was arrested and charged with retail theft. The man went to the store, took a suitcase and stuffed it with $792 worth of clothes and tried to leave without paying.

At a store in the 10100 block of Southern Boulevard, a man was arrested and charged with retail theft. The man removed a Bluetooth headset from its package, hid it in his pocket and then tried to leave without paying.

A woman was arrested and charged with retail theft at a store in the 9900 block of Belvedere Road after she was seen hiding clothing in her purse.

DRUNKEN PEDESTRIAN

An drunken woman screamed and yelled at customers at a store in the 1100 block of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard. She was arrested and charged with disorderly intoxication.

THEFT

A woman was working in her yard in the 100 block of Miramar Avenue when she noticed a green electrical cord plugged into the side of her house coming from her neighbor’s house. Deputies were unable to contact the neighbors. The woman was advised to contact FPL.

A woman reported that someone stole the tag from her vehicle in the 400 block of State Road 7.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A woman in the 2000 block of Shoma Drive started received greeting cards from a man she dated years ago. At the first the cards contained only poetry. Over time the cards became “nasty.” Once, the card had a condom inside and on another occasion the card was smeared with feces. She was told to also contact the Postal Service.

VIOLATION OF INJUNCTION

A woman reported that her ex-husband violated a restraining order when he picked up their daughter from school in the 100 block of Sparrow Drive. Her ex-husband also sent her a text message accusing her of filing false documents. A deputy contacted the man and he admitted to violating court orders and voluntarily turned himself in. He was arrested.

FRAUD

A woman and her husband received several phone calls about their house in the 12400 block of 67th Street North being available for rent for $700. The callers stated they saw the listing on the website www.craigslist.com. The couple did not list their property for rent. A report was also filed with the Internet Crimes Bureau.

A woman living in the 11100 block of 59th Street North discovered that someone fraudulently used her debit card to buy a $1,500 Apple computer in Lee County. She has since closed her account.

THEFT

The license plate was stolen from a car parked in the 17800 block of 86th Street North.

A laptop computer was stolen from a residence in the 15200 block of 75th Lane North.

A man had a friend visit him at this home in the 14200 block of 76th Road North. She asked him how he acquired the $580 that was in his drawer. The next day the man noticed his money was missing. The woman refused to give him back the money. He did want to press charges.

Someone stole the water pump from a house in the 17800 block of 38th Lane North.

Someone stole the air-conditioning unit from a vacant house in the 13000 block of 73rd Street North and hid it in a wooded area near the house. Deputies found the interior of the house badly because of the copper wiring being ripped from the walls.
