Paramore yard sale raises money for Japan quake relief

Paramore are raising money for the crisis in Japan with an online yard-sale, where 30 personal items are listed on a special eBay page in support of the Red Cross.

The selection of band clothes, accessories and instruments were donated by the band. Fans on their forum have been hunting out photos of Paramore (or rather, singer Hayley Williams) wearing the selection.

Williams was snapped for Gigwise wearing this Mickey Mouse t-shirt at Tiger Woods’ annual charity show in 2009, in this checkered skirt after stepping off stage at Soundwave, and this purple dress on Steal My Style which she wore at the Warped Tour in 2006.

Bidding will close on 2 April, when another 30 items will be listed. International buyers could be disappointed, because it seems this first batch was subject to a listing error. An announcement on their website explains they can’t change the current batch, but next week’s auctions will be open to bids worldwide.

Meanwhile, the band returned to the studio last week for the first time since the departure of founding members Josh and Zac Farro last year. A tweet from Hayley confirmed the group were recording in LA with their new members:

“Just got a call from @itstayloryall [guitarist Taylor York], He and @schzimmydeanie [bassist Jeremy Davis] just touched down in LA! We’re recording a couple new songs this week!”
