The BBFC’s now pinned a date on the game — June 24, 2011.

A listing on the British Board of Film Classification’s official website has let the cat out of the bag on the planned console release of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.

Street Fighter aficionados’ may not be too surprised by this revelation, as SFIV overlord Yoshinori Ono’s been teasing the Arcade Edition’s release for the past few months.

According to the posting, the brawler passed the ratings process with no cuts made, and outed anime animator Jiro Kanai as the game’s director. Could this mean we’ll be getting fresh intro and outro movies? It’s certainly a possibility.

For those unaware, AE includes four new characters – namely, Evil Ryu, super boss Oni, and Street Fighter III’s Yun and Yang. Aside from this, a couple of gameplay tweaks have also been added to the mix, some of which have cheesed off more than a few fans within the community.

We’ll have more on Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition as it breaks.
