The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce, along with organizations and agencies that sponsor events here in Wellsville will partner to promote our unique local events by way of  two huge banners to be placed on the pedestrian bridge that spans the four-lane section of route 417.

“We have so many wonderful events happening right here!  We don’t want anyone to miss a single one!” said Steve Havey, Executive Director of the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce.

He also said that the banners, which will face both north and south, will be twenty feet long by five feet high.  The idea is for the thousands of people, from all over the county and northern Pennsylvania, to become aware of what we have going on locally.  Organizations sponsoring these local events will need to help defray the cost of these banners by donating $150 to have their event listed

“This is not a fundraiser for the Chamber”  Havey noted.  “The banners are expensive and the fees are only to defray the cost of having them created”.

In addition to organizations with events, local businesses are invited to support this project with a donation.  “Ultimately, this project will increase traffic to these events and promote business in Wellsville” Havey added.
