ICT listed as flagship project in Baltic Sea strategy action plan

The European Commission has integrated the flagship ICT for Health project into the EU Baltic Sea strategy action plan.

The European Union’s Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 is a European Territorial Cooperation Programme which promotes regional development through trans-national cooperation. It provides funding to projects fostering innovations, improving accessibility, managing environmental resources and strengthening cities and regions in countries surrounding the Baltic Sea. An ENPI component has been added to the programme to allow third conntries to participate in the projects. Project partners – Belarus, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Sweden – are working together in trans-national projects. (ENPI Info Centre)
